Goodbye to Neptune in Pisces (April 2011 – January 2026)
My life lessons about "love" began with not a bang. But everything that I thought mattered dissolving, including my ego--a personal story
Once I started reading astrology professionally, I immediately felt its pitfalls. My own lack. The sense grew like a nagging dog on my heels. It was probably why I stayed in the astro-closet until I was almost thirty.
My clients/friends loved it. Tears, catharsis, insights, changes, and friendships followed from the readings. Including my own.
I always learn from a chart.
But the more I read, the more astrology felt like but a tool. Clunky in my hands.
Neptune Has Been in Pisces since April 2011 – January 2026
Neptune is a heavyweight planet that marks a generation. It spends 14-years in a sign, shaping a collective’s dreams and inspirations.
Neptune’s return to Pisces in March 2011 was sorely needed after 165 years. Pisces reminds us of what universal love and connection is. It’s not kumbaya.
If we didn’t think Love—such schmaltz—was necessary then, we surely believe it now in 2025. After forced distancing and viral fears. With the threat of worldwide war hanging over us. We appreciate the difference between real and fake connections, love and lies.
Pisces reminds us that love takes sacrifice. And spiritual trust and faith. Those are solo inward job.
Before you expand into that sense, however, you fall. Neptune confusion, disillusionment, a sense of being forsaken by loved ones—life and God itself—were your experiences.
You’ve forgotten that you are here as a spiritual being learning earthly lessons.
Neptune in Pisces Transit--My Own Experiences
2011 was the start of my own Neptune transit over my Sun. My identity, ego, and creativity (your Sun) had never been more inspired. I was reaching for bigger dreams.
I started a “proper astrology website”, after ten+ years of reading. Ready to gp public with my woo side.
I co-founded an arts platform. A natural progression after a foot in the arts my whole life. We got busy fast. On the surface, all was productive, beautiful, and inspiring. I’m pretty sure someone on the team even played kumbaya.
But my health took a nosedive. The ground soon shifted under my feet.
Alas, it coincided with a new job (and a couple more new side hustles—what was I thinking?), a pregnancy, and getting married.
I “signed the papers” on many dreams in under a year.
But they evaporated as fast. I couldn’t hold on to them—I had to let them go. Work, social connections. With it went my life identity (Sun).
To say things came crashing down was a tad dramatic. I slid into all the Neptune pitfalls instead.
I kept believing I would be better “next week”. To get back to things. It never came.
I promised my boss I’d return to my role. I did the “quiet quitting”. I emailed him to say I quit.
I kept over-committing. Breaking promises.
Not until after I gave birth and overhauled my life. Until I got clear on my current state. It meant humbling myself.
In the end, confronted with the responsibility of a baby, all I wanted was to do “love and life” right. In doing so, I started to learn the true principles of health.
My new husband defined this sacrificial love for me. Us newly weds were not in the throes of romance. Instead, we tackled tough questions about priorities in life. And when one half is sick.
I also learnt lessons about empathy and compassion. It was no walk in the park. Neptune in Pisces continues to mark a 14-year period of growth and change.
Lessons of loss helped loosen my grip on old notions and ego.
But expanding my awareness helped me take all my tools on hand—not only astrology— to a deeper level.
